Founded in the early 1990s, long before “smart homes” were mainstream, we started as a local wiring and audio company and quickly grew into a full-service design and integration firm trusted by builders, homeowners, and developers across Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
Over the years, we’ve built lasting partnerships with premier builders like Toll Brothers and industry leaders such as Control4, Sony, and H-P. Through every evolution, from home theatres to automation and structured wiring, one thing remains constant: our commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and genuine care.

1994 — A Vision Takes Shape
After years in the electronics industry, Kris Kaymanesh founded Sight & Sound Systems with a clear mission: to deliver professional-grade home technology with craftsmanship, care, and integrity.
1998 — Growth and Expansion
Rising demand led to a new 5,500-square-foot facility in Chantilly, Virginia, complete with a showroom, offices, and warehouse, setting the foundation for long-term growth.
2006 — A New Era in Dulles
To accommodate a rapidly expanding client base, we moved to our current 16,300-square-foot headquarters in Dulles, featuring a state-of-the-art showroom, media rooms, and lifestyle vignettes.
2014 & 2015 — Milestones and Recognition
We celebrated 20 years of innovation with our annual A Taste of Technology event and were featured on the cover of SDM Magazine and in CE Pro for our leadership in smart home integration.

Naveed Kaymanesh stepped up as President to lead his father’s legacy with a fluency in the craft that can only be earned from a lifetime spent in the thick of the business.
